Caring for my Macrame
-
Macrame fibre art will be wrapped flat in recycled tissue paper and protected using sustainable wood wool. This should ensure the item is ready to hang but it may look a little bit kinked at first. Please hang your item as soon as possible and use your fingers to gently brush out the cotton fringing at the bottom of the art. You will find the piece naturally falls the way it should the longer it hangs on the wall.
-
Please do not try to wash or vacuum the artwork. If you feel it needs it, you can carefully dust or shake it from side to side to prevent any dust build up.
Keep your macrame away from moisture - this can encourage mold growth. Please also keep your macrame away from flames - cotton is flammable!
-
I can send your macrame out with a cotton loop to hang off a nail as seen in photos in the items descriptions.
Alternatively, we can send without the cotton loop if you would prefer to nail the macrame directly on the wall - Please message me when you purchase. We would recommend nailing it directly underneath the oak dowel, within the fibers to hide the nails. If you find the macrame doesn’t hang flush with the wall (please give it some time after hanging on the wall to adjust) you can also nail into the bottom of the macrame so it sits flat.
Customisation
